Testing and Consultancy Services is UKAS accredited (see the schedule in Downloads) to carry out a comprehensive range of testing on hardened concrete both on-site and in the laboratory.

We can provide trained technicians, all of which hold current CSCS cards to cover all your testing requirements.

Furthermore, our technicians are also trained in all aspects of Health and Safety relating to the testing that they carry out and all come equipped with appropriate risk assessments and method statements.

Hardened Concrete Testing

Our permanent laboratory provides a comprehensive range of tests on hardened concrete.

Cube & sample collection service
Compressive strength of cubes and cores including curing
Saturated, as received & oven-dried density of concrete
Examination and testing of cored specimens
Tensile & flexural strength of core and beam specimens
Static modulus of elasticity in compression of core or cylinder specimens Water absorption, initial surface absorption and capillary rise

Concrete Structure Surveys

Aggregate

Testing and Consultancy Services is able to carry out all your aggregate testing requirements to include physical, mechanical and chemical properties.

We can attend your site to carry out on-site sampling from your stockpiles of material or we can collect your pre-bagged samples from your site or office location.

Once sampled our permanent laboratories based in Woking and Birmingham are able to provide a comprehensive range of tests on the material.

Pile Integrity Testing

Testing and Consultancy Services have become the leading provider of Integrity Testing in the South of England and provide a quality service to many leading Piling Contractors.

Our professionalism and rapid response to our client’s requirements and our staff’s unrivalled knowledge in the interpretation of site test results have sustained our growth within this sector.

We are constantly upgrading our on-site computers to provide our clients with a first-class service and enabling us to ensure a clear and precise reporting procedure on pile integrity.

Dynamic Load Testing

We can undertake Dynamic Load Testing using state of the art software to analyse the results.

We are able to attend site with our own mobile test rig which can test piles up to 500 Kn design working load. Alternatively, we can supply a mobile tracked drop hammer to test piles in excess of 500 Kn design working load.

Soil and Contamination Analysis

We have staff experienced in contaminated land, environmental analysis and environmental science.

We are able to provide a full service from Phase 1 – desktop studies through to a full site investigation for both geotechnical and contamination works inclusive of site monitoring and laboratory analysis. Advice on remediation schemes for contaminated sites can also be provided.

Our workload is customer focused, and this has shaped the scope of our abilities to include Environmental Impact Studies, Geophysical Surveys for groundwater conductivity, Gas monitoring, as well as soil and water testing using UKAS and MCERTS accredited laboratories for full suite of contaminants including ICRCL, TPH, PAH, PCB’s and heavy metals, asbestos soil assessment and removal, spoil and waste contamination, WAC analysis and remediation statement.
